Home Health Care provides patients with skilled health care in the comfort of their home.
Nurses, physicians, therapists, social workers, dietitians and home health aides provide the services patients need, allowing them to stay living independently and saving them frequent and often inconvenient trips to medical facilities. People using Home Health Care services include the disabled, persons recovering from an accident or surgery and those with chronic illnesses.
Our Home Health Care services are available seven days a week and we offer individualized care to meet our patients' individual needs.

Safety Tips for Your Home
Lakeview Medical Center's Home Care staff is concerned about your safety in your home. Follow these safety tips to decrease the risk of injury in your home.
Preventing Falls:
1. Take time to regain balance when getting up from lying down or when standing up after sitting.
2. Wear solid rubber-soled shoes with low heels.
3. Wear slippers that fit well and do not slip when walking.
4. Look for objects or pets in your path when walking.
5. Use handrails when using stairs.
6. Don't rush to answer the phone or doorbell.
7. Use a stepstool, never a chair, to reach high places.
8. Keep walkways and hallways clear of clutter.
9. Remove throw rugs.
10. Turn on lights before entering hallways or rooms.
Kitchen Safety:
1. Place frequently used items within easy reach.
2. Turn handles on pots and pans to the inside, away from other burners.
3. Use bright lights without glare.
4. Don't store items on top of the stove.
Living Areas Safety:
1. Choose a chair with strong armrests as your favorite.
2. Make sure tables and chairs can support your weight if you lean on them.
3. Keep a flashlight within reach of your bed.
4. Use night lights in rooms or hallways used at night.
Electrical Safety:
1. Keep electrical cords away from sinks, bathtubs, or other water sources.
2. Replace frayed or worn cords.
3. Do not overload electrical outlets.
4. Do not use light bulbs with wattage too high for the fixture.
Fire Safety:
1. Install smoke detectors on every level of your home.
2. Check smoke detector alarms every month.
3. Change smoke detector batteries at least every year.
4. Mount fire extinguishers in the kitchen and garage.
5. Sleep with your bedroom door closed.
6. Never smoke in bed.
